Free Associates is:

Ben Goldsmith - Vocals and Keyboards

Kellen Holgate - Guitar

Danny Fisher-Bruns - Bass

Mark Rodgers - Drums

It started with Ben making some tunes on his laptop. Then deciding those tunes should be an album. Then deciding those tunes should have a band to go with them. So, Free Associates came to be.

Those albums are still around—they're labeled as Ben Goldsmith, but they're the building blocks for the FA songs. However, with the other musicians in the mix, the songs sound much, much better.

We'll probably re-record everything and rerelease it all under the Free Associates moniker. Stay tuned.

Sonically, one could describe Free Associates as alternative dreampop. We'd like to think of us as a little bit of Radiohead, Beach House, Wolf Parade, and for SEO purposes, let's say Taylor Swift. We don't know. Describing ourselves is tough.
